Erta hayot va shaxsiy martaba

Paradis Kvebekning Sent-Jan-sur-Rishel shahrida tug'ilgan. U Ottava universitetida tijorat bakalavri darajasiga (1970) va fuqarolik huquqi bakalavriga (1975) ega va 1976 yilda Kvebek advokatiga qabul qilingan ^[1] 1985 yilda u Régles de procédure devant les tribunaux administratifs kitobining hammuallifi bo`lgan. ^[2]

Paradis-Poulin firmasida hamkor sifatida ishlagandan so'ng, u 1993 yilda Kvebek advokatlar assotsiatsiyasi prezidenti bo'ldi ^[3] O'sha yilning iyun oyida u ba'zi viloyat sud binolarining to'lib-toshgan holatini tanqid qildi. ^[4] U Kvebekning Sen-Armand shahridagi vino zavodiga ham ega. ^[5]

Birinchi siyosiy idoralar (1995–2002)

Paradis birinchi marta 1995 yilda Kanada Jamoatchilik palatasiga qo'shimcha saylovda saylangan, u Brom- Missiskua uchun o'tirgan Kvebeka bloki a'zosi Gaston Peloquin avtohalokatda halok bo'lganidan keyin chaqirilgan. ^[6] Paradis kampaniyada Kanada federalistik g'oyasini qo'llab-quvvatladi va uning saylanishi Brom-Missisquoining birlashgan Kanadadagi o'rnini tasdiqlashini aytdi. ^[7] Saylov dastlab chaqirish uchun juda yaqin deb hisoblangan, ammo Paradis sezilarli farq bilan g'alaba qozondi.
