Kedayanlar — Borneo orolidagi Bruney, Labuan, Sabah va Saravakda yashovchi etnik guruh.
Qisqacha tavsifi
[tahrir | manbasini tahrirlash]Ular Dayak-Klementanlarning kichik guruhiga kiradi[1]. Ular Islom diniga amal qiladilar. Ular kedayan tilida gaplashadilar. Bruneyda 30 000 ga yaqin, Sabahda 46 500 va Saravakda 37 000 kishi istiqomat qiladi[2]. Sabahda ular asosan Sipitang, Bofort, Kuala Penyu va Papar shaharlarida, Saravakda — Lavas, Limbang, Miri[3] shaharlarida yashaydilar.
Kelib chiqishi
[tahrir | manbasini tahrirlash]Kedayanlarning kelib chiqishi toʻliq aniq emas. Eng keng tarqalgan taxmin — bu XV-XVI-asrlarda koʻchib kelgan Yava aholisining avlodlari degan gipoteza. Borneo shimolida va oʻsha paytda Borneo shimolida keng hududlarga egalik qilgan Bruney malaylari bilan nikoh orqali yangi etnik jamoani yaratdi[4][5].
Kedayan tili
[tahrir | manbasini tahrirlash]Kedayan Bruney Malay tilining lahjasi hisoblanadi: bu ikki tildagi lugʻatning 94% ga yaqini oʻxshashdir[6]. Talaffuzdagi asosiy farq shundaki, Kedayan tili boshlangʻichga ega, ammo Bruney Malay tilida yoʻq, shuning uchun Bruney Malay tilidagi Kedayan soʻzi hutan (oʻrmon) utanga mos keladi. Kedayan tilida ham tovushi yoʻq, shuning uchun Bruney malay tilidagi rumah (uy) soʻzi Kedayan umahiga mos keladi[7].
