1915-yil 31-may, dushanba kuni Indianapolis 500-mill 5-Xalqaro avtopoygasi boʻlib oʻtdi. Anʼanaviy poyga sanasi 30-may yakshanba kuniga toʻgʻri keldi, biroq poyga tashkilotchilari yakshanba kungi poygani rejalashtirishdan bosh tortdilar.
